Vocational rehabilitation (VR) is funded through federal and state tax dollars. There is no out-of-pocket expense to an employer or to the consumer for our services.

Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) consumers go through various evaluation activities and career planning to determine their strengths prior to beginning their job searches. Based on their previous experiences and their current abilities, VR tries to make sure that the job for which they apply is a job that they are able to perform.

Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors are available to assist with minor issues that may come up on the job. If a job coach is required, VR will assist with that service.

No. Any employee hired through the VR program is expected to meet the same standards as an employee hired through any other resource.

ORS staff is available to assist with worksite modifications, counseling, and support while on the job to allow your employees to maintain their job.
