Nominations for AT Conference Awards
Nominations are now being accepted for the:
Judith Hammerlind-Carlson Spirit Award
Frances C. Dixon Advocacy Award &
Elizabeth M. Dalton Assistive Technology Award
Nominees for Judith Hammerlind-Carlson Spirit Award are users of Augmentative Communication or Assistive Technology who strives to bring awareness to the role assistive technology can play in improving the lives of people with disabilities and those around them.

Nominees for Frances C Dixon Advocacy Award are distinguished by actions that have impacted and informed policies and practices that can affect change in Rhode Island and beyond.The award nominee can be any individual or agency who has championed for the rights of people with disabilities.
Nominees for Elizabeth M. Dalton Assistive Technology Award are distinguished by their innovative actions that have impacted the lives of individuals with disabilities in the area of assistive technology and/or universal design for life and learning. The award nominee can be a professional providing services, an advocate working on behalf of individuals with disabilities, an individual providing peer support or a user of AT.
These awards will be presented at the
2016 Assistive Technology Conference of New England.
Submissions for nominees should be no longer than one page in length and must include the contact information for the person submitting the nomination and the nominee (name, telephone number, e-mail). Submissions should be sent to Kelly Charlebois, Executive Director of TechACCESS of RI, at kellyc@techaccess-ri.org or faxed to her attention at (401) 463-3433. NOMINATIONS ARE DUE BY October 3rd.
