2026 WIOA State Plan Modification - Available for Public Comment
The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides money to states to help residents access education, training, employment, and support services. The WIOA State Plan is developed every four (4) years and modified every two (2) years after that, to help inform how those resources will be utilized within the state. Rhode Island is currently developing its 2026 Modification of the 2024-2028 WIOA State Plan.
The full 2026 WIOA State Plan Modification is now available for Public Comment. Stakeholders, interested parties, and members of the general public interested in providing comment regarding the plan are encouraged to email: dlt.gwbinfo@dlt.ri.gov. Comments regarding the State Vocational Rehabilitation section should also be emailed to joseph.murphy@ors.ri.gov.
